7 Reasons Why People Tan

1. Going on Holidays

I can honestly say, this is my most requested reason for tanning. Even though you will probably spend your week by the pool, who wants to rock up to paradise pale as a ghost? #glowbeforeyougo

2. Special Event

Whether it be birthday, wedding, engagement party, hen’s night, award ceremony, race day or a night on the town, you name it, people spray for it!

3. School Formal

It’s almost totally unacceptable to turn up to your school formal without hair and makeup professionally done, a new outfit, new shoes, sparkly accessories, a Brazilian wax, a spray tan and a chauffer driven Hummer! School formals are the new wedding and a tan is a must-have!

4. Competition Tan

For competitors (male and female), a flawless tan is part of their performance. It defines muscles, creates the illusion of a slimmer figure and it covers up imperfections and stretch marks. It's one of the most important elements and a tan can make or break a competition!

5. You’re a Spray Tan Technician

Well, let’s face it, you’re a walking advertisement for your product and service. Clients like to see what colour tan you’re wearing and how good it looks. My husband tans me, and I have to say he does a pretty good job, but like the plumber with the leaking tap, it’s tricky to find time and I’m usually last on the list to get tanned.

6. Performance Tan

Dancers, belly dancers, cheerleaders, pole dancers, actors, television presenters, models, celebrities and athletes. For performers, a tan is part of their act, they want to put forward their bodies in the best possible light.

7. Just because…

Many clients tan once a week, every week of the year. They don’t have an event to attend, they’re not going on holiday; they simply love being tanned. It gives them confidence and they feel slimmer. It's their most loved beauty treatment and they can’t go a day without it.
